1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using USCIS Status Tracker ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
The App allows you to track the status of USCIS immigration cases by entering receipt numbers. The App queries publicly available USCIS data and notifies you of status changes via push notifications.
3. Not a Government Service
The App is an independent service and is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) or the U.S. government. The case status information displayed is obtained from publicly available USCIS systems and is provided for informational purposes only.
4. No Legal Advice
The App does not provide legal advice, immigration counseling, or any professional services. The information displayed should not be relied upon as legal guidance. For official case information, visit uscis.gov or consult a qualified immigration attorney.
5. Account Registration
To use the App, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information
- Maintaining the security of your account
- All activities that occur under your account
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Track cases without the case owner's knowledge or consent
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-query case data
- Resell or redistribute the App's data or services
7. Data Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date case status information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data. USCIS may update their systems at any time, which could temporarily affect data availability.
8. Service Availability
We aim to provide uninterrupted service but do not guarantee it. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time.
9. Free Service
The App is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription plans in the future, with advance notice to users.
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and content, is the property of Immigration API and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from inaccurate case status information or missed notifications.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
You may delete individual tracked cases at any time within the App. To permanently delete your entire account and all associated data, email [email protected]. We will process your deletion request within 30 days. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
If your account is dormant (no login or activity) for 24 months, we will notify you via email before taking any action on your data.
13. Closing Your Account
You can close your account at any time by:
- Emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Close My Account".
- Upon closure, all your personal data, case data, and account information will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
14. Data Privacy
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information for profit or any other monetary transaction. For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data, please read our Privacy Policy.
15. Transfer of Ownership
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Immigration API:
- We will notify all users via email before any transfer of data occurs.
- The new entity must maintain privacy protections that align with our current Privacy Policy.
- If the new entity's policies do not align, you will be given the option to permanently delete your data before the transfer.
If Immigration API ceases operations, we will notify all users and permanently delete all data within 90 days.
16. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the App and close your account at any time as described in Section 13.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will notify you via email and/or an in-app notification before the changes take effect.
- We will provide a plain-language summary of what has changed.
- We will request your active consent for material changes.
- If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may close your account as described in Section 13.
18. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America.
